After 139 years on 807 Franklin Street in San Francisco, the two-story Victorian home has a new address.

The greenhouse, with its large windows and brown front doors, was loaded into gigantic carriages and moved six blocks away on Sunday (21).

Spectators lined the sidewalks to take pictures as vehicles drove home between 635 Fulton Street – at a speed of 1.6 kilometers per hour.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the transfer of the house had been under planning for years.

Senior housewife Phil Joy told the newspaper that permits must be obtained from more than 15 municipal agencies.

Joy explained that the movement was complicated because the first part of the trip involved a descent. “It’s always hard for a home,” he said.

Across the route, parking meters were removed, tree branches cut off, and traffic signs replaced.

The Chronicle reported that San Francisco broker Tim Brown, owner of a six-bedroom home, will pay $ 400,000 in fees and moving costs.
