Secretary of State George Schultz 100, who helped end the Cold War The world

George Schultz, Presidential Secretary of State at the end of the Cold War and the greatest architect of American diplomacy, died on Saturday at the age of 100, the Hoover Institute announced on Sunday.

One of the most important political strategists of all time who served three American presidents was George P. Schultz died on February 6 at the age of 100, “said Stanford University in a statement posted on its website.

“Schultz, along with President Ronald Reagan, played a key role in changing the course of history by using all the tools of diplomacy to end the Cold War,” concludes the Institute’s note, of which the former secretary was a member for more than 30 years.

“He is the only American to have held four different positions in the federal government,” said the Hoover Institute as secretary of state, treasury, labor, and budget director at the White House.

Another former Republican Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, praised the legacy of “a great American statesman and a true patriot who made the world a better place.”
