Death of John Pull, former captain of the 16th of England

English hooker John Pulin, a lifelong farmer and former captain of XV de la Rose, has died at the age of 79 from a long illness, his former club Bristol announced on Friday.

Pulin, who was elected 42 times between 1966 and 1976, feared his perversion during the tournament, and won two notable victories against South Africa, one in 1969 and 1972, and one in 1973 against the All Blacks. Auckland. Pullin played seven games for the British Lions during the 1971 victory over the All Blacks. He also wore the Barbarians jersey that won the All Blacks in Cardiff in 1973, the most beautiful experiment in rugby history on the day Gareth Edwards scored the goal.

The England captain, who traveled to Ireland for a match at the Five Nations Tournament in 1973, entered the lawn on Lansdowne Road in full battle with the Irish Republican Army (IRA) (18 killed in one month). England lost 18-9, and Pullin summed it up well at the post-match dinner, giving a hint of great English humor: “We weren’t very good, but at least we came”.
