Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland want to stay on the Erasmus program

She noted that participation in the event should be “through the United Kingdom”, which was scrapped by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the end of December, following the end of the agreement with the European Union on post – Brexit relations.

Johnson wants to launch a new national program in September to replace Erasmus + and baptize the “Turing Program” named after the famous British mathematician and cryptologist Alan Turing.

Minister Williams sees the program as a replacement for Erasmus +. “I look into the possibility of ensuring that Welsh youth do not exclude losers from this decision by the government,” she said. They also explore the possibility of improving the Turing program.

England, the largest country in the UK, has no government or parliament of its own and is directly governed by the Johnson government.
