Pakistan International Airlines to floor 150 pilots with ‘dubious licences’

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will be grounding virtually 150 out of its 426 pilots, amid an inquiry that they keep “dubious” licences, a enterprise spokesman reported.

The Minister mentioned that there are some pilots, who did not look in any paper but managed to get the licences.Twitter

On Wednesday, Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan reported 262 pilots, out of complete 860 in the nation, have suspicious flying licences and would be grounded straight away, stories The Express Tribune.

Chatting to the media in Islamabad, he mentioned licences of these pilots are doubtful.

The Minister mentioned that there are some pilots, who did not seem in any paper but managed to get the licences.

He knowledgeable that the federal government has made the decision that all these pilots would be issued clearly show trigger notices and demand sheets so that they could not fly any airplane.

Sarwar reported felony proceedings would also be initiated versus pilots with fake licences as the federal government could not allow any individual to place the lives of its citizens at threat.

The selection arrives at a time when an first inquiry into a PIA airplane crash was presented prior to the parliament by the country’s aviation minister, who also highlighted irregularities at the national carrier.

A PIA Airbus A320 crashed on Might 22 in Karachi, killing 97 of the 99 persons on board.
