A tribute from Dubliners and the national team to one of the best players of the last fifteen years
It’s officially time to say goodbye to Rob Kearney. Ten days ago Pro 14 played world rugby after winning the final trophy with Leinster in 2019/2020.
E., a player for the Dubliners Would be an epic: Includes 6 Pro 14, 4 Champions Trophy and 1 Challenge Cup with 15 years of career, 219 appearances, 238 points on the scoresheet, and the extraordinary Palmer (Irish player who has won the most trophies).
Not only that, but he also had 98 international caps, 95 of which were Ireland shirts, 4 with 4 Six Nations and 3 with the British & Irish Lions (touring to Australia in 2009 and then in 2013, playing only Trocker Midweek Tests).
Comprehensive ability, acceleration, football, as well as remarkable defensive qualities: Rob Kearney represents over the years as one of the best interpreters of his role at all levels, with extraordinary champions in Leinster and Ireland.
Both teams wanted to pay tribute to his career with a video greeting and some iconic photos respectively.
