Electric Ireland has announced that it will give $ 100 credit to 10,000 registered vulnerable customers’ bills.
The company said Kovid-19 will help those in need of $ 1 million in credit during the Pandemic and is another customer commitment that is part of the “Brighter Together Energy Program” launched earlier this year.
Electric Ireland has also announced the extension of the severance moratorium, which began on October 22, and will now operate until March 1, 2021.
Electric Ireland’s 1.1 million residential customers will be able to take advantage of the severance moratorium, and the plan will extend to its business customers.
Electric Ireland Executive Director Marguerite Sears said the company has tens of thousands of registered customers, some of whom are seriously dependent on electrical appliances.
“We hope this gesture from us will ease some of the stress at the end of a challenging year,” Margorite Sears said.
We are also well aware of the difficulties some consumers are experiencing as a result of the combined effect of the Covid-19 pandemic, Christmas expenses and winter energy bills, ”said Ms. Sayre.
She said the company is undergoing a rigorous intervention process to help customers who are facing such difficulties and to ensure that they continue to be well supported.
“Continuing our severance moratorium until March 2021 means ensuring that all our residential and business customers enjoy the comfort of energy supply in the coming months,” she said.
We make a proud promise that no home or business will be left in the dark this winter due to payment difficulties, ”she added.
The ESB executive requested that any customer experiencing financial difficulties contact the company, adding that it would work with them to approve a payment plan tailored to their individual circumstances.
