Senior player Irlite Daly will lead the Waterford challenge to book a spot in the Board Guys Energy Munster U20HC final when they face Tipperary at Frehr Field on Tuesday night (7pm).

Lismore club Daly is set to replace Tudg de Barca, who lost to Limerick in the All-Ireland senior final on Sunday, and he and his brother Carthage are expected to play key roles alongside Michael Kayley (Abyss) for Stephen Gog’s team. And Paddy Levy and Kevin Mahoney, who are part of the Baligunner team that won the county senior championship.

It was Waterford’s first game before All-Ireland champions Tippin implemented the Kovid-19 restrictions with a win over Claire in October.

Comper Bow, Devon Ryan and Andrew Ormond won 1-19 to 0-12 at Semple Stadium. Defeated John Devan on the team, with veterans goalkeeper Aaron Brown, Egan McCarthy, Girid O’Connor, Bowe and Ormond from last year’s title win.
