Jockeys Liam Kenary, James Doyle and Robert Howlin participated in the inspection with several coaches and course officers, where visibility was found to be very poor.
Howlin won the opening race of the eight race cards scheduled for Miss Finland (85-40), coached by John Gosden.
A spokesman for the Chelseford Racecourse tweeted: “Unfortunately, due to heavy snow around the racecourse, the rest of today’s race was abandoned for safety reasons.
“The safety of all participants is paramount. We apologize for any inconvenience.”

A meeting scheduled to take place in Huntingdon on Sunday was adjourned but it was moved to Cardinal on Friday in Cheltenham.
The eight-match event will start at 11.30am with the new match, at its original 2m4f distance at 1.50pm.

The trained Seven Barrows confirmed that the 10-year-old will reappear around Christmas.
“The Altiers will not enter. We do not need two and a half miles around Cheltenham,” he said.
“He’s going to Compton at Christmas.”
