In September 2020, Indian Ocean officials announced that the Maldives Border Miles, a three-tier tourist loyalty program, would begin next year.
Although the specifics of how the program will work on a practical level have not yet been revealed, there are gold, silver and bronze that will match the money spent in the country and provide rewards and benefits to regular visitors.
