Be sure to look into claims made by unpaid contact tracers

CPL, a recruitment agency, has confirmed that it is investigating allegations that some of the officers who signed contracts with HSE to do contract finding work were not paid for more than a month.

Earlier in the day, Solidarity-People profit TD. Richard Boyd Barrett finds contact with the Dublin incident contact set by the CPL to implement the HSE before 15 contact tracers at the center raised the situation.

He said they had been working six weeks ago and had been working in the front row but had not been paid for the past four weeks and had signed the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.

He said officials critical to contacting Covid-19 had no income to pay the bills – and accused the government of trying to fight the virus on the basis of low workload and exploitation.

He also reiterated allegations against a previous group of workers.

Taoist Michael Martin said the situation would follow as HSE had dealt with the issue and had no agenda of not paying people.

This evening, in response to questions from RTE, the CPL raised the issue with some of its contact-tracking staff.

It confirmed that it was urgently investigating and talking directly with staff to resolve it quickly.

As a leading recruitment and workforce solutions company in Ireland with over 13,000 employees, it has taken its responsibilities as a major employer very seriously, including paying all its employees accurately and precisely.

“Our contact-tracing teams work on 11-month specific purpose contracts and are contracted to work 37 hours a week or on a part-time basis as agreed.

“Our process is to make payments as soon as we receive authorized time sheets from our client companies,” it says.
