Boris Johnson’s Joe Biden reveals tweet will show ‘Trump’ below – Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin deletes phone call message | Political news

Boris Johnson is worried that he will show a red face following the discovery that a message congratulating US President-elect Joe Biden has retained hints of Donald Trump’s name.

After announcing their victory in the US election, Prime Minister Biden on Saturday congratulated Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on their resignation.

In a graphic attached to his Twitter post, Johnson said in a statement: “Congratulations to Joe Biden on being elected President of the United States and to Kamala Harris for her historic achievement.

Zooming in and changing the brightness and contrast of the image reveals the outline of the previous words

“The US is our most important ally and I want to work together on our shared priorities, from climate change to trade and security.”

However, it was later found that changing the brightness and visual intensity of the graphic reveals the outline of what appears to be an earlier statement.

Above the word “biden” is the word “Trump” and the outlines of other words.

A government spokesman said: “As you might expect, two statements have been made in advance for the outcome of this upcoming election.

“A technical error means that parts of the alternate message are embedded in the background of the graphic.”

SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford tweeted: “Incompetence has become a key word in this Tory government.

The Prime Minister’s enthusiasm for working with Biden

“It serves as another reminder of Trump’s close relationship with Boris Johnson, which has done a lot of damage.”

Meanwhile, a message was posted on the Twitter account of Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin that he had spoken with Biden, but it was quickly deleted.

Martin said he had completed a very good call with the president-elect.

However, the message was incorrectly posted due to an attempt to configure the phone call.

The two spoke Tuesday afternoon.

Trump has not yet conceded defeat in the US presidential election and has repeatedly claimed to have “won” the election.

He has also made unsubstantiated allegations of fraud in the election process.
