Love Island executives are preparing to bring the series back on television screens this summer.

The favorite reality show was canceled this year due to the corona virus pandemic but was promised a ‘stronger than ever’ return in 2021.

ITV seems to be sticking to that promise.

The makers of the ITV 2 dating show have reportedly been given permission to start casting for the new series in January, with the villa expected to reopen in May.

Reality shows can live together as long as all participants and employees are isolated two weeks in advance, as well as without having to set up regular temperature checks.

The source continued The sun: ‘It’s always clear that there is a risk, but ITV bosses think it’s time for the Love Island Cogs to turn around early in the summer.’

In May, it was announced that this year’s edition of Love Island would be canceled due to an epidemic.

“I have tried all possible ways to build Love Island this summer, but ITV boss Kevin Ligo has confirmed that it’s not logical to build in a way that protects the well – being of all involved and that we should give priority.

Under normal circumstances, we would soon be ready to go to the Mallorca site to prepare the villa, but for now it is seamless.

We apologize to the fans of the show, but our main concern is that it will be built safely, and will be stronger than Love Island in 2021. Meanwhile, Love Island fans can still enjoy all six series of Love Island in the Britbox.

Casting began on Love Island’s summer series in 2020, and ITV received a record number of applicants.
