The CMO says Ireland is on the right track to suppress Covid-19, but it is too early to ease our efforts.

The chief medical officer said that although Iron was making progress in the fight against Kovid-19, efforts to suppress the virus could not be mitigated.

The country is one of the last four EU member states to reduce the seven-day incidence of corona virus. Tony Holohan said, but there is more to do.

The National Public Health Emergency Team on Saturday confirmed 416 cases of Kovid-19.

Five deaths related to the virus have been reported.

“We have made progress in suppressing the current rise of Kovid-19,” he said. Holohan said.

Ireland is one of only four countries in the European Union to have a seven-day low.

Nationally, our reproduction rate has dropped to 1.0.

We work together to achieve repression, but it is time to ease our efforts. It is declining in young people but increasing in people over 75 years of age.

“We have more to do, but we are on the right track.”

Of the 416 new coronavirus cases reported, 64% were in people under 45 years of age.

The average age is 34 years.

87 cases were reported in Dublin, 62 in Cork, 41 in Mayo and 37 in Galway, and the remaining 189 cases spread to 20 other countries.

Kovid-19 hospital had 320 patients till 2 pm yesterday.

The 14-day incidence rate in Ireland dropped to 268.7 per 100,000 population.

Cavan remains at a 14-day high of 645.9 in the country.

Light Trim currently has a low rate of 118.6 per 100,000 people.

Meanwhile, 11 Covid-19 deaths and 649 new virus cases have been reported in Northern Ireland.

Kovid-19 currently treats 346 patients, including 48 in the intensive care unit.
