Met Iron with multiple warnings and weather forecast predicts a scary week in Ireland.

Meteorological officials issued a yellow alert across the country on Monday.

The warning started at midnight and will continue until 7pm on Tuesday.

A Met Iron prophet said: “It rains regularly and intermittently from Sunday night to Tuesday evening.

“Although some areas will be below the warning level, there is a high risk of localized spot flooding in mountainous areas.

“This warning will be reviewed and may be raised in further updates to reflect the developing situation.”

A status yellow gale warning and a small craft warning are in place.

Weather advice was given over the weekend.

A Met Iran forecaster said: “Conditions will not be resolved by the end of the weekend, with very wet and sometimes windy weather on Mondays and Tuesdays.

“Constant and local heavy rains and high soil saturation levels increase the risk of flooding of rivers and surfaces. Extremely high tides and strong winds increase the risk of flooding in coastal areas.

There may be thunderstorms, flash floods and thunderstorms today and tomorrow.

The forecast added: “Today will be a wet and bright day, with rain in the north of the country.

Rainfall is more likely in some areas with localized flood risk, especially in the southwest, west and northwest, and flash floods are more likely in mountainous areas.

South to south-east winds 12 to 14 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rains are expected in the country tonight as the risk of localized floods continues.

“It will rain more at night. Some clear spells will develop. The southern coasts will be very windy and there will be gales along the coast. The minimum temperature will be 10 to 13 degrees.

“Tomorrow, Tuesday will be a windy day with rain across the country. Heavy rain is expected with isolated thunderstorms and localized flood risk.

“The maximum temperature is 12 to 15 degrees. Strong and south or southwesterly winds increase the risk of coastal flooding in some areas.”
