LONDON (AP) – Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) have expressed their condolences to their longtime dog Lupo.

Royals Lupo ate in 2012, a year before the birth of their first son, Prince George. Loo reportedly even helped Kate and William choose a name: after the couple had given as many possible names as possible on pieces of paper on the floor, he stopped at a piece of paper called “George.” Lupo is said to have received his own name in memory of Kate’s grandmother, Olive Christiana Lapton.
George and Loop got along well from the start, Prince William said in an interview a few years ago. “As many people with dogs know, dogs need some time when you suddenly arrive with a newborn,” says William – but Lupo just walked around the house, but was “completely happy”.
It is said that the animal member of the family had a special fondness for table tennis balls. “We sometimes try to play at home, but our dog always snatches balls from us,” Kate once said while visiting a recreation center in Ireland.
“Nothing can prepare you for the death of a dog,” Kate’s brother James Middleton wrote on Instagram on Monday. A No one who never owns a dog will ever realize the loss. But everyone who loves a dog knows the truth: a dog is not a pet, it is a family member, a good friend, a loyal friend, a teacher, a therapist. “
