Hollywood editions of European films are usually a bit softer, which is where Brad Silberling Wim Venders decided “Heaven over Berlin”. But the romantic result with Nicholas Cage as Seth the Angel in love with Maggie Rice (Meg Ryan) is remarkable. Maybe it’s music too – anyway the movie is a magical cinematic moment that I remember fondly.
