WhatsApp updates privacy policy in response to Irish Guarantor’s requests. These days chat users are sent a message referring to an official support page: “We are updating our Privacy Policy for Residents of Europe”.
The configuration has nothing to do with the change announced in 2021 and has never been presented, following a wave of protests that prompted the messaging app to abandon users in favor of signal and telegram.
Today’s message refers to an update to the Privacy Policy, which states, “We will not change the way we manage our services, or the way we treat, use, and share data with others, including our parent company, Meta. Update it with additional information, including the legal basis for processing. ” A fine of 225 million euros was imposed.
