Washington wants to deny Putin and Lavrov access to US territory

Like the United Kingdom and the European Union, the United States will approve Russian President Vladimir Putin and his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov.

The United States wants Putin and Lavrov to deny their territory, which the White House announced this Friday evening in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Thursday.

White House spokesman Jen Zaki said on Friday that the travel ban would be “part” of the US sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin and his foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov.

They reiterated that “this is a normal element” of sanctions against foreign individuals, and that details of these historic sanctions against the Russian president will be revealed later.

Putin and Lavrov are already on the EU and London sanctions list

A White House spokesman said in a statement that the attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selensky was a “cruel act” on the part of the Russians.
