Ubisoft Club and UPay integrate Ubisoft’s loyalty program and desktop application under a single banner – Ubisoft Connect, respectively. From October 29, the new ecosystem will bring gamers across all platforms together, providing “a great environment for all players to enjoy and connect their games”. Each publisher’s live games and the upcoming version will support various services of Ubisoft Connect, including the loyalty program. Players can easily access the ecosystem by logging in to their Ubisoft account on PC, mobile and in-game.
Ubisoft Connect is designed to allow players to unlock unique rewards through the Akin and Loyalty program to services that replace it. Players can compare their stats with friends and access individual tips. Although Ubisoft Connect services are accessible in the back catalog titles for statistics, leaderboards, and Smart Intel, Ubisoft states that the Challenge system is not active. To address this, all players will receive 1,000 rewards. Previously acquired users under the Ubisoft Club Loyalty Program are converting Club Units and XP to any Ubisoft Connect.
It also provides a service that allows players on all platforms to connect and transfer their saved files and make progress on Ubisoft games. It is currently limited to Ubisoft’s upcoming games, but it seems to be a key component of the service going forward.
When the news was announced, Ubisoft launched the following trailer:
