U20 World Cup 2024 – England in final after victory over Ireland

The young English player won against the Irish with a score of 31-20. So they will see the final between France and New Zealand to decide the winner of the match.

The English took their title, winners of the recent 6 Nations U20 tournament, where they defeated the Irish in the semi-finals (31-20) and hence qualify for the final. The Irish opened the scoring early (second), but the young Englishmen managed to reply with two tries (25th and 31st) in the space of six minutes. If a fresh Irish advantage allowed them to take the lead, after the siren an effort from the center of the Ross players gave them the advantage at the break (22-20).

In the second half, the recent 6 Nations tournament winners did not loosen their grip and did not concede a single point.

Three penalties from their number 12 extended their lead to victory. They will face the winner of the match between New Zealand and France in the final.
