BHundreds of left-left extremists protested in Berlin on Saturday evening against the planned evacuation of a left-alternative production trailer settlement in the occupied property of the Erlin (DPA) -Kopeniker Strait.
Among the protesters was a large bloc of black-clad, left-leaning left-wing autocrats. Participants ran from site to Frederickschine via Cruzburg. The demonstration, titled “Defend Copy Wagonplatz”, had a large police presence. According to a DPA reporter, more than a thousand people were on the streets.
During the entire peaceful demonstration, firecrackers exploded and firecracker rockets were fired into the sky. Supporters with Bengal fires and smoke pots stood on the balconies of previously occupied houses along the way. At an interim rally on the corner of Liebigstrasse and Rigier Strauss, a speaker recalled evacuating the occupied house “Liebig 34” almost a year ago.
The Wagenberg camp at Kപെpeniker Strauss in Berlin-Mitte is expected to clear on October 15. Residents said they would not accept an eviction date without defense.
Kopi is one of the last symbolic projects of the left – wing extremist movement in Berlin. The district court ordered his evacuation in June. According to the ruling, the area where the undeveloped, 2600 square meter construction trailers and caravans are located must be cleared. According to the Residents Association, about 30 people live there.
