The issue of abortion is at its heart Three familiesThe new two-part series airs on BBC One for two consecutive evenings on Monday, May 10 and Tuesday, May 11.

Inspired by real events, Three families A scripted work by Gwyneth Hughes follows three different families who want to end their pregnancy for different reasons. However, they are all in Northern Ireland, and abortion laws have historically been the most regulated in Europe.

The series takes place over the years (existing since 2019) that eventually lead to the discrimination of abortion, and the stories that follow offer a picture of the emotional context that can lead to propaganda and entitlement.
