Normally, the Guides Festival takes place on the evening of August 14 in Argentina and on the evening of August 15 in Chamonix. This year, the three-day program changes some of the conventions to meet all the events of the bicentennial of the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix.

Following the parade in Argentina with ceremonies at the cemetery, a call for guides will be held in front of the church on Friday, August 13 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. After this very mal formal series, the festive part of the day is planned with a concert by Michael Jones (guitarist by Jean-Jacques Goldman), at Les Howch in Espace Olca. The doors open at 8:30 pm, and then the show starts at 9:30 pm. Health pass will be mandatory. Admission is set at 20 euros.

The next day, Saturday, August 14, Chamonix Guides will offer music, acrobatic show and one – man show at Les Gailand at noon and evening. From 2:30 pm, the site will pay a 15 euro fee (from 12 years old). At the foot of the climbing rock, from 4pm to 7:30 pm, there will be concerts by local groups and a vertical view of the flying French. But the evening program will be on top of all the participation of Gazpard Proust. The famous comedian will give two presentations (9:15 pm and 10:45 pm) along with the screening of the 200-year-old film program of the Encodes’ Guides de Chamonix’s. At 11pm, he will take on music with Johnny Gallagher between blues, rock and Irish jazz.

Finally on Sunday 15th August, this traditional guide day will start at 8:30 am. From Place du Triangle DL Amity, the entire Companion des Guides will parade into the Chamonix Cemetery. From 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., there will be a traditional ceremony, called by all members of the company. Then after the General Assembly, the Place du Triangle will become a base camp with multiple stands and activities for young and old alike. This year, conferences will allow us to recover the history of the company.
