The zoo employee was locked in the lion cage, and an investigation was launched

An investigation was launched at Belfast Zoo in Northern Ireland in early August after a staff member found the lions locked in their enclosure with the animals. Two staff members, one in training and the other more experienced, entered the enclosure to care for the lions.
