Publication of the Irish Farmers Calendar returns in 2023, following a publication suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a reminder, this is a really nice looking calendar for real Irish farmers (okay, we agree, they are). Sexy !) Naked pose, all in good humor. The farmers are accompanied by adorable animals including kittens, dogs, rabbits, a goat and, for this version, an alpaca.
This year, after publication was hit by Covid-19, the calendar doubled its number of photos, including 23 images from photographs dating back to October 2019.
The host of the popular Irish TV show labeled “Agri Pon”. The Late Late ShowRyan Tubridy’s Irish Farmers Calendar 2023 is now available and features “agricultural attractions” from the Irish counties of Offaly, Mayo, Dublin, Wicklow and Kilkenny.
The calendar is now in its 13th year and has been a huge success!
Ciara Ryan, the project’s creator, told the Bored Panda website that she had the project in mind in 2009: “In 2009, just before I started the calendar, I saw how popular the Dublin Firefighters calendar was and it got me thinking. Firefighters in cities had their own calendars, then Ireland’s most popular. Why couldn’t rural farmers, one of the best features, so I wanted to show Irish farmers in funny poses, we’ve become more sexy than funny over the years, but we still feature a bit of both.”
The success extends far beyond Ireland, as Ms Ryan confirmed: ”We see new orders coming in every day from all over the world. It is great to see that the calendar has universal appeal.
The calendar received orders from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, mainland Europe, Hong Kong and South Africa. The first order for the 2023 calendar is from Japan!
