Sante Public France says while the number of new daily hospitals for Covid-19 patients is declining across the region, it is increasing locally in some metropolitan areas.
After eight consecutive weeks of decline, the incidence rate increased in the week from October 11 to 17, with an average of 48 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants, an increase of 10% within a week. Public Health France (SPF) released its latest epidemiological update on Thursday.
The resumption of viral circulation in metropolitan France is notable, the incidence is increasing and the reproduction rate of the virus is now more than 1. The positivity rate of the tests also increased to 1.2% over the same period.
Small alert for those over 60
In detail, this incidence rate increase is particularly prevalent among some age groups, especially those over 60 years of age: + 60% to 60% + 30%, + 70-79 years + 33%. Years and 80-89 years, i.e. individuals who are first vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine. This Thursday, a study by Pfizer / Bioentech Laboratories underlined the “relative vaccine efficacy of 95.6%” of this third dose against symptomatic forms.
However, viral circulation is higher in people in their thirties, with 67 cases (+ 5%) per 100,000 people aged between 30 and 39 last week. It increases by 4% in people aged 20-29.
Although there is no significant impact on hospital indicators nationally, the number of new hospitals is increasing in some metropolitan areas. On the other hand, for the French Overseas Territories, Guyana is seeing a decrease in its incidence and the number of new hospitals.
Accelerate
In recent days, the vaccine booster campaign against Executive Kovid-19 has increased the call for “acceleration,” increasing the likelihood that these third-dose refractors, as even a spokesman for the Gabriel Atoll government, will have their health passes revoked.
Calls made by very low numbers are reported by SPF bul, and still in its bulletin, only 13.7% of people over the age of 65 have received this popular booster dose.
At the same time, Santa Public France also raises the alarm about vaccinating adults in dangerous situations, which is much lower than the general population. According to the transferred figures, 74.9% of those involved received at least one dose, 72.7% received full immunizations, 81.6% and 79.6% received the rest of the French by October 17.
