There has been an increase in the number of new Kovid-19 cases in several areas across the country in the last 24 hours – including some small areas.
In Ireland, 527 more people were infected with the corona virus, the health ministry said. Five more deaths were confirmed.
With 191 new cases, Dublin is again the most affected area, with Cork having 54 cases.
A further 44 infections were reported in Donegal, but 32 in Wexford and 27 in Kilkenny.
The CMO said the new statistics would cause constant and persistent anxiety. Tony Holohan said.
The public can cut off their contacts and cancel plans to socialize.
