The Emerdale star says that the reunion of Moira and Cain was a sex that kept a social distance

Emerdale actress Natalie J. Robb says she has found the romantic reunion of Moira and Kane Dingle “sexier”.

Moira and Cain (Jeff Hordley) reunited in the Emerdale episodes on Thursday, months after a love affair, when Cain declared his love for her in a romantic sunset light.

Speaking to the Daily Star about the reunion, Natalie said: “I love the way they wrote and the way they did.

“I have always said in the case of the whole Kovid, how writers come up with ideas, maintain the social distance to see and act on it, and acknowledge the fact that it exists. We’ll be stuck in it at least next summer, I think, so I wondered how they would do it.

“I’m sure they will come up with ways, so they will work on the ideas for it when they need to do more intimate things.

“But the way it was shown, I think it’s really beautiful. I thought it’s really romantic, but I thought it’s kind of full of sex, because that’s the way these two come together.”

She continued: “You know what’s going on in their heads, it’s so beautifully illustrated.

“It fascinates you a little, I like its power. You know what Moira and Cain can do, it’s not uncommon to see them in a clinic, but it’s interesting how they did it, and I think they wrote it well.

“I personally thought it would work, but going forward with it, I do not know how it will work.”

The actress added: “I felt like you didn’t see the social distance in the episode, it was well edited so you don’t even think about it.

“When I saw it, that’s what I thought – ‘Oh, I didn’t notice it’ – but we all did.”

Cain actor Jeff Hordley told us: “We now do different techniques, plate shots, and the power of editing can bring actors closer together.

“It’s a challenge.”

He continued: “There is so much power in space that people do not have to be close to each other to create a relationship or status.

“If you’re doing a play, you’re exploring more places than you do on television, but we’ve got closer to each other because we shoot in these little boxes.”

Emerdale airs weekly at 7pm, with additional episodes airing on Thursdays at 8pm on ITV
