The distressed Lori family speaks proudly after losing their ‘beautiful Rachel’ in a tragic collision – Armag I.

Family of Raphael Lori – He died in a road traffic collision on Thursday – talked about their destruction at the loss of their “beautiful” girl.

She thanked the paramedics and emergency services who assisted the 17-year-old girl at the scene.

Rachel’s funeral will be held today, Sunday, at 2:00 pm, at her home on Redrock Road, Cologne. Friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects along the way as the courtesy goes to Mountnoris Presbyterian Church.

Rachel is the most beloved daughter of Kenneth and the late Louise, the beloved daughters of Sidney and Sheila, the niece of Leon, Linda, Stephen and Evan, and the cousin of Kyle.

In a statement, Lori’s family members expressed their heartfelt condolences over Rachel’s tragic and sudden loss, “especially to the whole family.”

She said: “Rachel grew up to be a 17-year-old beauty with great gifts in music and creativity.

The family was very proud of Raphael when he won the Junior World Drum Major Championship in 2017 and the runner-up in the Juvenile World Drum Major Competition in 2019.

“With good luck, this year’s results, she started a health social care course called SRC in Divination.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the PSNI, air ambulance and neighbors at the scene who treated Raphael.

“When Rachel’s death is mourned, the family will request privacy and the great loss to their family will affect all parts of their lives.”

The principal of Markethill High School, where Rachel was a student, said the school community was very sad.

Colin Berry said Lori has thoughts and prayers with her family during this sad time.

He added: “Rachel was a very popular and loved member of the school community who showed sincere talents in the creative aspects of school life.

“They left our school in June 2020 with excellent GCSE results ready to take the next step of the educational path.

“Rachel loved her career at SRC, especially her hair and beauty modules; Outside of school, she was very talented and successful in the world of pipe bands as a drum major.

“I have no doubt in my mind that Rachel has a great future and the whole school community will remember her very fondly.

“Our heartfelt condolences to Rachel’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

Although only family flowers are requested, donations will be accepted for NI Air Ambulance, KG Chevers, Son, Funeral Directors, 28 Dobin Street, Armag, and BT61QQ if required.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the crash that occurred Thursday afternoon on Coolmillish Road, and anyone who has witnesses or captured dash-cam footage should contact 101, citing reference 833 24. / 09/20.
