The British are concerned about the distribution of the Kovid vaccine in Northern Ireland

The British government on Friday (29) expressed concern over EU restrictions on the distribution of vaccines Coronavirus Outside of its territory, which directly affects Northern Ireland in violation of the post-Brexit trade agreement.

A spokesman for Dominion Street said the British government had raised concerns with the European Commission over its failure to notify the European Union of its actions on the Northern Irish Protocol.

Michael Gove, the minister in charge of government coordination, told Maros Sefkovic, vice president of the European Commission, that the next steps would be closely monitored.

In the event of a delay in the delivery of vaccines from the AstraZeneca laboratory, the European Union has decided to introduce a mechanism to ban “illegal” exports.

Northern Ireland is one of the regions considered non-European. The Brexit agreement is another factor in preventing the return of EU member Ireland and Northern Ireland border and customs controls.

The EU requests an article that allows this protocol to be suspended if its application “causes serious economic, social or environmental difficulties”.
