Overcoming 68,000 candidates, Tian Giang Specialized High School, Nguyen Ho Tian Dat, became a valedictorian of the aptitude test at the National University of Ho Chi Minh City.

During the test, time is distributed evenly across the data sections and then the reading comprehension from the provided data is focused on solving the questions. “This year’s problem is moderately difficult. Many of my classmates have scores above 900. I’m most afraid of application questions. Some people say that speaking the language is a problem I have never encountered before.

Currently, DAT review has begun for the upcoming high school graduation exam. In addition to the time in class and extra classes, he spends 2-3 hours each day on self-study, searching for self-training online for training to solve. Instead of searching for “sublime” knowledge, he chooses to delve deeper into basic knowledge that is not yet fully understood.

Not only was he a good student at the school, but he also won numerous awards on the big playground: second place in the weekly competition “Road to Olympia” in July 2020, winner of the program “Road to Glory”. 11, National Consolation Prize for Mathematics.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology intends to apply for a new Valedictorian computer science in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and a passion for programming. “Although I have not specified what I will do, I hope to follow that path in the future. My parents are very supportive of my decision,” Dat shared.

This year, more than 2,700 of the 68,400 people who took the aptitude test scored 900 points. NUN Ho Tian Dat has the highest score of 1,130, followed by 9 candidates with 1,056-1,099 points, from Da Nang, Bak Liu, Bin Duong, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

This is the fourth year that the National University of Ho Chi Minh City is conducting a capacity assessment. Currently 70 universities and colleges used the exam results to enroll, including 10 schools and faculty at the National University in Ho Chi Minh City.
