The Directorate General of Internal Security Force – Public Relations Division has issued the following:
Educate your minors about the dangers of the Internet, which has witnessed a significant and dangerous increase in the number of complaints compared to 2019 and 2020.
Check out complaints of sexual harassment statistics received via the social media of the Directorate General of Internal Security Force of the Directorate General of Internal Relations through the service “reached” on the website during the past two years (2019, 2020). Significant and serious increase in the number of complaints of intimidation and robbery of minors by this Directorate General:
– / 11 / Complaints, distributed among 81.81% female juveniles / 18.19% male juveniles in 2019.
– As of 2020, it had reached 94 complaints, with 80.08% distributed among female minors and 19.2% among male minors.
That is, an increase of its percentage: / 754 /%.
Accordingly, it appeals to parents to direct the Directorate General of Internal Security Force to monitor their children regularly, to make them aware of the dangers of the Internet, to protect them from predators, and to intimidate predators who may be able to communicate with them through social networking sites. It recommends that parents not inform their children not to accept invitations from unknown individuals or accounts and not to take or photograph inappropriately under any circumstances.
