Tax and social security revenues are expected to grow in the first months of 2021. Here is the MEF report

The Ministry of Economy and Finance has published on its website a report on the trend of tax and contributory income for the period January-June 2021.

The report, prepared jointly by the State Finance Department and the General Accounting Department, shows a net increase in revenue from taxes and contributions. Let’s take a closer look at what it is.

Tax and Social Security Income January – June 2021

According to the Ministry of Finance and Finance, tax and social security revenues for the first six months of the year grew by 10.2 percent (+30,826 million euros) over the same period last year. In particular, the reason for this increase is:

  • An increase of 11.9 per cent in tax revenue (+ 23,624 million euros);
  • 6.8 percent (+7,202 million euros) in growth in donor income.

The amount of tax revenue includes major taxes from local authorities and major correctional materials, so it combines the data already released with the August 5 note.

In addition, the International Tax Revenue Report for June 2021 is available on the Finance Ministry’s website, which provides an analysis of the tax revenue trends of the major European countries: France, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, the United Kingdom and Spain.
