The Irish persevered and finally defeated Scotland on Saturday in Dublin.
Ireland took time but secured the final win of this Six Nations tournament against Scotland (17-13) in Dublin on Saturday, March 16. Dominating from start to finish, Bundy Aki's teammates battled for long against a heroic Scottish defence. But after several attempts were denied by the video, they sealed their victory with another brace from Andrew Porter (65th). Before that, the Clover XV had scored first through Dan Sheehan (13th), but saw the Chardon XV hit back through the boot of Finn Russell.
Ireland was very strong
Despite a last-minute effort from Hugh Jones (77), Scotland couldn't turn the game around. With this fourth win, Ireland won their second consecutive Six Nations tournament. Although they missed out on a grand slam thanks to last weekend's narrow defeat in England (22-23), Andy Farrell's men more or less fulfilled the contract. Their supremacy in the Old Continent was once again proven.
