Stay tuned for James Nesbitt and Kush Jumbo announced by Netflix

The Netflix team has announced a new eight-part thriller series: Stay Close, starring Kush Jumbo, James Nesbitt and Richard Armitage. Dark secrets emerge in the story of the three, and their lives are shattered.

Stay Close is based on New Jersey author Harlan Cobain’s best-selling novel of the same title, the New York Times. It begs a question: How often do you know someone?

According to Netflix, Stay Close is the story of three people who live a comfortable life, each hiding dark secrets that even those closest to them will never suspect.

Megan (The Good Wife, Vera Star Jumbo) is a three-year-old mother, Ray (Armitage) was once a promising documentary photographer, and now a celebrity-occupied wealthy kid and Broom (Cold Feet and the Missing One) is a detective hobbit who can’t give up the cold case.

A friend from Megan’s past arrives at the scene. Lorraine (played by Sarah Parish) gives some news that destroys all three of their lives. When the past comes to haunt them, how do they react – will it be a fight or a fight?

Armitage said: “Nicola, Danny, Harlan, I can’t wait to return to Manchester to work with the team again. I really like Harlan’s style and this plot and character are incredibly challenging. At a time when we are away, Stay Close promises to break all the rules. ”

Cobain added: “I am so happy and excited to be with Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Schindler and Richard Fee – the same team that created Strangers, Safe and Five. Talk about dream come true actors – Kush Jumbo, fiery and charismatic genius; Jimmy Nesbitt, a legendary actor, I always wanted to collaborate with; Well done, Richard Armitage again! ”

Stay Close will mark the fourth collaboration between production company Cobain, author Brocklehurst, executive producers Nicola Schindler, Richard Fees and Red Company.

Cobain has a five-year deal with Netflix to turn 14 of his titles into movie-TV dramas.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
