Spain’s ex-King Juan Carlos flees to Dominican Republic

Disgraced previous King Juan Carlos of Spain fled the country to conceal out in the Dominican Republic with a rich household there, stories reported Tuesday.

The ex-monarch — battling allegations of bribe-having and linked suspicious off-shore accounts, not to mention lingering general public resentment in excess of several rumored extramarital affairs — disappeared as a letter he wrote to his son, King Felipe VI, surfaced Monday.
