Spain is experiencing one of the hottest pre-summer heat waves in at least 20 years.
Temperatures in the valley of the Guadalquivir River, Seville and the neighboring city of C കോrdoba reached 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday, according to the country’s national meteorological agency, AEMET.
“We have unusually high temperatures in June,” said Ruben del Campo, a spokeswoman for Emet.
According to the agency, the heat wave in most parts of the country is the result of a generalized stabilization, along with a mass of very hot air coming from North Africa.
This Sunday (12), the temperature reached 43 degrees Celsius in the southern cities of Andujar, 42 degrees Celsius in Cർrdoba and Carmona.
Also, according to AEMT, the heat wave will continue until next Thursday (15).
