BERLIN (AP) – German rivals Portugal and Hungary drew and won their final Tests ahead of the European Football Championship.

Defending champions Portugal split in front of 15,000 spectators in Madrid on Friday. Hungary beat Cyprus 1-0 (1-0) in Budapest. A week before the European Championship opening game against Turkey in Rome, the Italians held a convincing dress rehearsal. They beat Bologna 4: 0 (2: 0) in the European Championship against the Czech Republic.

Hungary and Portugal will meet in the first European Championship match in Group F on June 15 in Budapest. The German team will play against the Portuguese in Munich on June 19 and will visit Hungary Munich four days later. Another group opponent is world champion France.

The team around Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo just before the final whistle was lucky in the match in Madrid just before the final whistle. Portugal coach Fernando Santos and Spanish teammate Luis Enrique used the game for testing and changed teams strongly. Hungary forgave the high victory. Nemanja Nicolix lost in the 86th minute through a penalty kick. So it was the only hit of Andres Schaefer in the 36th minute.

Portugal’s last test against Israel in Lisbon. The Spaniards got Lithuania for a dress rehearsal yesterday in Madrid. Hungary will train again in the emergency against Ireland in Budapest on Tuesday.

Italy was better than the Czechs in their success. Ciro Immobile (23), Niccol ബ Barela (42), Lorenzo Insine (66) and Domenico Berardi (73) overtook Werder Bremen goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka. Success would have been more obvious.
