With the latest PinterestActivities allow creators to better prepare their content for posterity and enable direct purchases. Pins have the opportunity to purchase products that are shown directly. This enables them to implement their ideas better and more directly.
Product tagging for Idea Pins is initially only available in the UK and USA. Paid partner features are now available to select authors in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru. Available in beta.
New Pinterest Functions: Product tagging for Idea pins
Pinterest is like a huge catalog of millions of product pins uploaded by retailers and brands, tracked through partnerships with Shopify and pinned to pinners. People come to Pinterest for shopping, and that demand increases with the introduction of Idea Pins. In fact, we found that Pinnacles 89% more likely to buy products that are tagged in Idea Pins. Now the creators can take advantage of that catalog and that purchase purpose by tagging specific products in their own Idea pins. For posterity, this means that they can now buy ideas from their favorite creators and move on from inspiration to purchase.
New Pinterest activities recognize paid participation
Creators with existing brand collaborations now have an easy way to mark paid partnerships with a new function. Creators who create branded content can add brands directly to their Idea pins, and once the brand “tag” is approved, the Idea PIN will be labeled “Paid Partnership”. This feature makes it much easier for creators to view partnerships with brands and use their expertise to authentically connect with brands.
