Investigators consider she died after mustering plenty of energy to get her shortly safely and securely out of the h2o, then falling underneath the surface.

“We feel it was mid-afternoon when she went swimming, the plan currently being, possibly, that the boat started drifting … and that she mustered enough electrical power to get her son back again on the boat but not ample to help you save herself,” Ventura County Sheriff William Ayub explained to reporters at a press conference held immediately after the discovery of her body Monday.

He included that “[Her son Josey] explained remaining served into the boat by Naya, who boosted him on to the deck from powering. He looked again and observed her vanish less than the surface area of the water.”
