Serbia completed the score and won in the Republic of Ireland

A In Group A of the World Wide Football 2022 Qualifiers, Serbia won 3-2 today in the reception to the Republic of Ireland, of which the Portuguese team was part, but lost, which changed the outcome.

The Balkans, theoretically the toughest opponent against the Portuguese, have been losing since 18 minutes, when Preston midfielder Alan Browne opened the scoring in the English Premier League.

Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina, Italy, equalized in the 40th minute.

In the second half, Fulham Alexander Mitrovic’s English forward came on the field 63 minutes later to beat former Benfica player and current Sassuolo Italian midfielder Philippe Juricic, giving Serbia three points.

In both, Mitrovic was helped by Ajax Dutchman Dusan Tadic to change the score from 0-1 to 3-1, four minutes before the end of regulation time with the Irish second, James Collins, Luton striker and the English Premier League team.

With this victory, Serbia finished first in Group A, with the same three points as the Portuguese team (1-0 in Azerbaijan) and the remaining three teams, including Luxembourg, have yet to make their debut.
