Experts from the National Medical Research Center for Physiotherapy and Infectious Diseases of the Russian Ministry of Health have developed a very effective new method of treating HIV patients. This was reported RIA Novosti In relation to the source.

Currently, it is impossible to completely recover from this disease. HIV patients need to take medication for the rest of their lives, increasing the risk of unwanted side effects. The vast majority of treatments include tenofovir, which is toxic to the kidneys and reduces bone density.

The new method, developed by Russian scientists, involves the transition from triple therapy to dual therapy. Tenofovir is included in the first six months of therapy, after which patients avoid it and take dolutegravir and emtricitabine. As explained at the center, six months after starting treatment, patients develop immunity against HIV and the remaining components strengthen each other. In this case, the double rule of therapy is sufficient to completely suppress the virus, while the toxin is not immediate or delayed.

The authors of a new approach to treatment have been granted a patent for an invention.

Alexander Pronin, formerly freelance specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection in the Moscow region Expelled Myth about the possibility of human immunodeficiency virus being transmitted by mosquito bites. Experts say there are only three ways to get infected with HIV.
