Even in the summer there is no holiday for the renovation of Center-Deux. While work continues inside, the renovation phase of the shopping center’s facade has begun. A symbolic step that allows the centre-deux to get a makeover and regain a more modern look.

The front should be completed by mid-September

It will be clad in gilded, micro-perforated metal, like a second skin on the facade of the Saint-Étienne shopping mall, which has not yet been renovated in more than 40 years. The site should be completed by mid-September and, in total, 1,000 m² of facing facades will be installed.

Inside, the fountain was destroyed and a new lift installed. Work on the entrance gates has already been completed. In total, for this renovation, the Clapier Group invested more than 23 million euros.

Four new industries should be started

In addition, it announced the opening of four new shops in the Center-Deux Galerie, but without revealing more about these future brands.

We know that coffee-shop Miss Cookies Coffee will be set up from September on the site of Claire’s former shop, at the entrance on the tram side of the shopping centre. Then, in contrast, it will be Primark’s turn to settle in the last quarter of 2022.

With a sales area of 5,400 m² in a 3,500 m² sales area, the eagerly awaited Irish discount clothing brand should be the real driving force of the shopping centre. Its recruitment campaign has just started and the store should employ no less than 150 employees.
