On the eve of Screenforce Days 2022, ProSieben boss Daniel Roseman announced two fundamental changes to the ProSieben program: On Sundays, ProSieben 2022 will feature in-house productions from October. The mother of all “TV Total” events returns to Prosiben with the “TV Total Walk-WM” event on November 12 in Winterberg.
“Sunday evening will be the fifth evening of the week that we only show our own productions,” says ProSieben boss Daniel Rosemann. “We’re on the same path we started successfully four years ago: from ProSieben to ProSieben, more ProSieben.
What can viewers expect on Sunday? “On Sunday evenings, viewers are in a special visual situation. Work week is knocking at the door, but someone wants the weekend not to end yet. We want to extend the weekend spirit through our new Sunday evening events,” says Daniel Roseman. “That’s why our first four Sunday programs have similar elements: on Sunday evenings, in new formats, our viewers can accompany them to places where celebrities aspire. Stories, jobs, experiences – dream on the weekends. ”
Here’s what viewers expect on Sunday:
“Country Challenge”: Which celebrity convinces viewers?
Around the world from TV studios in Germany – Sunday Evening Live: “Country Challenge” (AT), ProSieben takes viewers around the world on Sundays. They have to solve challenging tasks in different countries: for example, in front of the Sydney Opera House is a job of a 1,000-member choir singing Australia’s most popular folk song “Waltzing Matilda”. For example, in South Africa someone needs to find ten brides who dare to do a bungee jump. Depending on the task, celebrities naturally have a time limit for preparation. Viewers are live there during resolution: each episode has four live broadcasts in four countries. At the end of each episode, viewers decide which celebrity convinced them the most while solving the task.
“Mission: Job Unknown”: Who will succeed as a ghost hunter?
New Country, Unknown Work, Familiar Faces: “Mission: Work Unknown” sends celebrities on a special journey in six episodes. In teams of two, they have to pursue new jobs. Its special thing: you do not know what you are doing to yourself. What do Sven Hannavald and Mario Bassler look like as lifeguards in Mexico? How do Lucy Diakovska and Nadja Beniza work as ghost hunters in Ireland? How talented are Vivian Geppert and Thomas Hayo as bodyguards in the US? Do Oliver Poacher and Laura Caracas make cheese only at a cheese farm in Romania? Is there a snack for Verona and San Diego Booth at a chocolate shop in Venice?
“Local Hero”: Who in Japan can immortalize himself?
Who will be the “local hero”? Who can immortalize themselves in Scotland or Japan? Who achieved the most exciting traditions and strange customs in a crash course? In the new show “Local Hero”, two prominent rivals immerse themselves in culture, country and people around the world and compete with each other in an extraordinary country duel. Local experts offer celebrity travelers the ultimate crash course in their country’s customs, offering them traditional, bizarre, physical and mental challenges not commonly found in a travel guide. Who handles the challenges well? Who is facing the traditions of countries like Scotland, Mexico or Japan? The winner gains fame, respect and invaluable immortality in their country.
“The Most Dangerous Roads in the World”: Who’s on the way anywhere?
Different countries, different roads. At “World Most Dangerous Roads” (WT), 16 celebrities are behind a special adventure. In pairs, they try to master the most dangerous route in a country by car. Who can reach Peru through the rainforest and the muddy path? Who are the pits in the highlands of Bolivia pushing to their limits? Who overcame their fear of heights on the coastal road in Madagascar? Who has the highest altitude flight? Who is on the way anywhere? In their journey, celebrities get to know the country and its people and their travel partners from an unexpected angle.
More ProSieben productions and a big comeback
In addition to the new programs on Sundays, in-house productions continue to run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A choice: “Who’s stealing the show?” With host Joko Wintershaid. “Germany’s Next Top Model – Heidi Klum”. “The Masked Singer” with Matthias Oppenheim. “Shame or pay” with Elton. “Worldwide duel – Team Joko vs. Team Class” with Jeanine Michelson. “The Voice of Germany”. “Genge. Crime.”. “Joko & Class Against Prosiben”. “TV Total” with Sebastian Puffoff. “Late Night Berlin” with Class Huffer Circulation. “Beat the Star” with Elton.
There is also a return to the “TV Total” events on ProSieben. “On Nov. 12, the Walks will jump through the Ice Channel in Winterberg,” says Daniel Rosemann. Also, #FreeESC will be back in 2023 – “more international than ever.”
With so much entertainment, is there still room for factual programs? “Our magazines ‘Taff’ and ‘Galileo’ were our trusted lifeline last night,” says Rosemann. “Virtual programs are also very important to ProSieben in prime time. ‘Zervakis & Opdenhövel. Live.’ Continues to work on Wednesdays.
