Pound announces euthanasia of a dog: The next day they receive an urgent message that the cards are rearranged.
Carrick Dog Shelter and Monaghan Dog Pound are located in Lisdun, Ireland.
On April 10, the Pound teams posted a final message on Facebook asking for help for 7-year-old stray dog Greg.
No application for adoption
At the end of March, a poor cat was found abandoned in the Latin region of Ireland.
At the time, the pound teams had issued a notice stating that he was available for adoption. The cat was very affectionate and needed gentle and polite attention.
The teams made it clear that Greg did not like loud noises, quick movements, and tight ties around his neck.
They had made it clear that the ideal environment for a dog would be a safe and quiet home in the countryside or a retired owner who spends a lot of time at home to keep him company.
Very tight time
Sadly, on April 10, after Greg spent 16 days on the pound, officials said he had not received any applications for adoption and that his condition was “urgent” because of the risk of euthanasia.
That’s when the pound teams received urgent messages about the poor cat.
Thanks to public support, they were able to remove the dog from the pound and place it in a pet care.
On Monday, the My Lovely Horse Rescue Association posted a message saying the dog would be welcomed to their farm first and then taken to Foster Care. Let his new life finally begin!
Forward to a happier life!
