Police investigate burning cross identified at BLM protester’s house

A burning cross was found in the yard of a Virginia teen who assisted arrange his town’s Black Lives Subject protest, law enforcement said.

An “intense fire” emanating from a barrel was noticed early Sunday in front of a home in Marion, in which officers responded, set out the blaze and found wood that “appeared to be in the shape of a cross,” Marion law enforcement reported Monday.
