Although he starred in the film “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga” – actor Pierce Brosnan does not believe he will represent his native Ireland as a singer in the Eurovision Song Contest.

NEW YORK (AP) – Irish actor Pierce Brosnan (67) does not believe he will ever sing for his country at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Ireland I have to sing for Ireland and start working on it now. This is an interesting idea, said Brosnan at the presentation of the film “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga”. “But I don’t think that will happen.”

Brosnan plays the father of Will Ferrell’s Lars Erikzong, who represents Iceland on the ESC in the Netflix comedy. Former James Bond star Abba has already sung along with some songs from the film adaptation of the musical “Mamma Mia”.

But the actors are definitely giving up what is not an option. Doubt really makes him strong, Brosnan says. “When I have such feelings, my determination becomes stronger,” he says. “When you have doubts about yourself, you fight hard. When your confidence goes back to the wall, when you come out and hit. ”
