NASA’s Mars mission, Perseverance, has found evidence of a river on Mars. Perseverance sensors detected an area similar to the delta that results from strong currents in the river. The discovery was made by scientists who analyzed images of the slopes of Mars taken by Perseverance. The study, published in the journal Science, was conducted by a team of scientists from Florida, USA. The team was led by astronaut Amy Williams.

Amy learned about the special shaped marks she saw on the slopes. The soil on the slope was found in several layers. Studies have shown that the last 3 layers are formed by the flow of water. Preliminary conclusion is that these were the mouths of ancient rivers. This indicates that about 370 million years ago, Mars was hot and humid enough to circulate water. The scattering of large boulders in the upper and lower layers is an indication of flooding.

The strong indications that there was water on Mars are further strengthening the expectation that there may have been life on the planet. Given the fact that water is the basis for the existence of life and that water was the background for the formation of the first life on Earth, the world hopes that the presence of water on Mars will prove in the future the claims of scientists that there may be life on another extraterrestrial planet and habitable.

Does persuasion remove the mystery

Prior to this, perseverance had proven the possibility of life on Mars by producing oxygen from the atmosphere. Mars’ Oxygen In situ Resource Utilization Experiment (Moxy) is the first experiment to produce oxygen on a planet other than Earth. In the first experiment, 5.4 g of oxygen was obtained. This is enough for an astronaut to breathe for 10 minutes.

The atmosphere of Mars contains only 0.13% oxygen but carbon dioxide 96%. The experiment was carried out using electricity from the Perseverance Rover to decompose carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide and oxygen.

Perseverance is the most important mission in human exploration of Mars. The first man-made object to fly out of Earth was recorded by the small helicopter Ingenuity, part of the Perseverance mission. Built to make 5 small flights, this baby has flown more than 12 times so far. Ingenuity was instrumental in obtaining photos from slightly above the surface of Mars. It also gave them confidence that they could make controlled flights to other planets in the future. NASA’s planned exploration missions to other planets could also include small helicopters. It has been reported that the Dragonfly spacecraft to Jupiter’s moon Titan will also have a version of Ungenuity.

Perseverance has also collected small pieces of rock from Mars. The rock, which is only slightly thicker than a pencil, is safely stored in a titanium tube. It is expected to reach Earth in the future with the help of follow-up missions to Mars. The surface was excavated and the rock was excavated using a drill bit attached to a 2 m long machine of perseverance. NASA also plans to bring mineral salts from Mars to Earth for future Mars exploration missions.

The Perseverance Rover landed at Jessiro Crater, where scientists believe there was water some time ago. The rover then flew over nearby areas. Its continuation is the discovery of layers formed on the surface of Mars as a result of the current water flow.

ചൈന China also targeting Mars

Tianwen-1 was the first space mission to be developed and launched by China on its own. The mission involved Tianwen Lander and a rover named ‘Jurong’ that landed in Utopia Planetia, north of Mars. This makes China the second country to successfully land a rover on Mars after the US. The Jurong rover aims to study the mineral structure of Mars and the presence of water on the surface of the surface. It is concluded that water is present in the region of Utopia Plantia. It also hosted the US Viking 2 mission in 1976. Scenes of China building a small helicopter with the same design as the Ingenuity were released. China is planning to fly a helicopter to Mars on its next Mars mission. The ingenuity is similar to that of a helicopter with two motors mounted one on top of the other.

China-Mars

As more and more countries move forward with alien experiments, the long-cherished dream of space migration is being brought to a halt. The creation of oxygen and controlled flight on Mars points to the possibility of man visiting Mars in recent times. Filming in space also calls for the development of technology.

While space tourism has been successfully implemented, the return missions to Mars are not far off, and the biggest hurdle ahead is the cost of launching the fuel needed to complete the mission. If a large amount of oxygen can be produced on Mars, it will be overcome.
