Panasonic India launches new lens for Rs 59,990

New Delhi, November 4 (IANS): Panasonic has introduced a new large aperture medium telephoto fixed focal length lens in India for Rs 59,990.

Based on the L-M mount system for the Lumix S series full-frame mirrorless camera, Panasonic is going to release four F1.8 large aperture lenses as previously announced, making this 85mm F1.8 the first.

“The new S85mmF1.8 Focus Peak delivers a smooth, circular bouquet of point light sources with smooth defocus gradation and vinning to the image’s neighborhood,” the company said in a statement.

It also claims to excel at video recording performance with a system that suppresses focus breathing, which was a deadly problem with interchangeable lenses designed for still image photography.

The lens has a coarse dust and splash resistant design to withstand harsh conditions.

In addition to the four F1.8 large aperture lenses, the 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens is also being expanded to further expand the Lumix S series lens lineup.

Panasonic and L-M Mount Systems are committed to developing L-M Mount Lenses to meet customer needs.
